What is the PintSize Cloud?
At the basic level, the PintSize Cloud is a subscription based cloud service providing remote viewing and triggering of supported actions for your generator. The PintSize Cloud Client needs to be installed along with GenMon and it synchronizes data from GenMon to the cloud, and then actions are sent from the cloud down to GenMon through the client.
What does it cost?
- For owners (residential, small non-servicer commercial), we are planning on a $20 USD per generator per year price, however we are currently offering $10 for one year while we finish fine tuning and working on determining the appropriate sizing for the cloud service. This is limited to 1 time per generator. At this time there is no cost for additional users viewing generators; however that may change in the future as we assess how common additional users are and how additional users impact our operational costs.

How do I sign up?
- If you purchased a pre-loaded unit from the PintSize.Me website after July 1st, 2024 you just need to update and provide configuration details to the already installed PintSize Cloud Client.
- All other users will have to manually install the PintSize Cloud Client which will require executing a few commands via SSH or right on the Pi in a terminal window. We provide the exact commands to use.
- You can purchase a subscription from our site and we will send you the configuration details and install information by email within 24 hours, though during working hours within 2 hours will be common but not guaranteed.

Key features:
- Cloud based viewing of data
- Cloud based triggering of actions if you choose to enable that function. Actions can include Start, Start & Transfer, Stop, Clear Error, and Update Client. Actions only work if supported by your generator, genmon, and the state of your generator at that time.
- Zero configuration messaging - you don't need to know your SMTP server to get email alerts through the cloud.
- Multiple user access - create an account for your spouse, or have your older parents create an account for you to remotely view their generator.
- Multiple generator viewing - have a second home, parents you help take care of, or even multiple sites for a business? View them all in one spot.
- Anomaly detection (under development) - detecting when an ATS fails to switch (requires that your generator reports power generated) and detecting when the battery fails to charge when running on generator under load.
- Servicer support (for generator servicing companies) - this is an extension of the multiple user access allowing you to add a servicing company which then grants all of their employees view access of your generator. Servicer access is only available when service providers have an agreement with us.
